I'd need to repaint all the rooms too, but that's a minor discomfort compared to what the utility rooms need.

1) FP compares can be unreliable because of binary representation of decimal numbers.

2) PHP $is $an $apallingly $bad $language.

3) C does not have a string type. It has a nasty bodge instead - something invented to please early Unix developers who thought that computers executed text files only.

3) strlen( ) is not magic, it needs a null terminator and, in network code, nearly always screws up your app.

4) Difficult-to-understand expressions should be split up so that either you can understand and debug them, or recognise them as moronic, (i++ + ++i).

@Chantola C programmers only get UB when using single-dimensional arrays and so often get to deliver their bad apps.. When they try to use multi-dimensional arrays, they screw up, get continual segfaults and post on SO.

- - contractual penalty from the brewery due to not purchasing beer etc anymore

The most recent record wasn't nearly as bad, but the 10-trillion digit record took quite a bit of baby-sitting (mostly required disks to be replaced as it used them nearly continuously for months on end).

@Xeo Only a good idea if there's good reason to believe that by then it'll be profitable (e.g., they use the money to do improvements, there's nearby construction that's reducing traffic that will be done before then, etc.)

The only thing they'd reduce with quitting (and just living in the tavern due to the lease) would be gas and electricity
