@Learning There is no hard and fast rule. Most of the time I use them for internal helper functions

As an example i have a Session variable, it is linked only to system time and is required all over my code

I generate the value from a static method

but in the modern world of DI its growing ever more rare to see such things declared as static as you inject them

I have 1 eccomerce website and on home page of that web site i am displaying some products to sell

so which ever user visits my ecommerce website home page would be able to see all that products

now i have 1 function which will get all products from database to display on my eccomerce website home page

so should i create that fucntion as static or non-static?

A strong reason would be to permit loose-coupling

its desirable to not have your presentation layer depend on your data access layer

It would depend on how the static method is coded, its no different than creating an istance of an object and calling the same code except the code doesnt have access to this.

Well, I tried PTmmMssS as a format, but it is definetely should not work.

I can't understand how do I avoid the letters in input string.

Except cutting them off before the ParseExact call.

I did not try removing letters from an input string. But it will work.

Hi. If there is a member in a class that goes like protected virtual override...is that superfluous? (Unnecessary, redundant)?

CS0113 A member '[name]' marked as override cannot be marked as new or virtual

Yeah, an override must be of a method that is virtual so the virtual keyword would be superfluous

You can override it again in a further inheriting class, so in a sense it's 'still' virtual
