Man, I am so tempted to replicate my D3D12 visual debugging tools into a standalone application and publish it as open source. But I don't know how people are in the open source community, I don't need 4chan-ish folks up my ass.

Man, those were simpler times... Forward renderers, max 3 lights... Non physical shading, nobody caring about energy conservation, glossy reflections, global illumination in general... Lighting was basically a dot product and a few per-component multiply adds.

@chmod666telkitty If people just getting drunk seemed to feel happier for a while from doing it, I could understand it--but at least from what I've seen, that doesn't seem to be the case. In fact, quite a few seem to start out depressed, and when they drink it just gets worse.

Alcohol helps me relax, reduces my inhibitions just enough that I seem sociable. But I don't like going overboard with it because the day after is shit.

Well, the Lounge is very enjoyable. We have many differences, yet many shared interests. And we come together in really weird ways. It kinda just works.

Also, I am in a reasonably good mood again for the past week or so, finally got on with the terms that it's very likely the new house will not be completed and rented out until early Feb next year (because Christmas delay things, certifiers would be on holidays, so will be the potential renters during Dec & Jan). So I am just going to take it easy and spend slightly more time on my app business. Also I got half of paper work due out of the way, so it's all good. More time with friends as well.

@AlexM. Some people seem abrasive even on the Internet. In some cases, I'm pretty sure they're really much nicer in person. In others, probably even worse.
