@ThePhD Something like ohloh probably under-represents Git somewhat though. Since Ohloh is (or at least acts like) a centralized repository, it loses some of the advantages of a distributed system like Git or Mercurial. That's not to say it renders Git or Mercurial useless, but they provide more advantages in other scenarios.
