OK. Then the button isn't linked to that method. You can fix it in the designer cs file, or you can just make a new control, double click it, and paste the code in there.

hey guys, hope someone can help me out with this: I want to check how many times an executable has been started. I guess I could use the amount of filehandles...but how do I check/count those in C#?

the only solution I see is to check how many times the assembly which the executable and the program use is open

I guess you should go with the mutex option, since this is the fastest and as you were saying the 2nd way of starting your application won't show up in the process table
