I have one confusion in Github merging.. Suppose there are two branches that are working on same method. So how Github will perform those changes? means how it will decide the statement index?

I don't know how github presents it, but git will attempt to merge,if it cannot, then you will have to resolve the conflicts yourself

Whoever does the merge has to handle the conflicts. Like if you pushed your changes first, and the I want to push mine.. I will have to pull your latest changes and then try to merge

Having a merge conflict means that git could not figure out how to merge your changes with master. It marks these in the relevant files. At this point, you need to open the file and make the changes logically.. It's just a regular file, so, you test it the way you would have without git. Once you are sure about your changes.. Then just commit

@HimanshuJoshi what I do on merging is usualy this: I have a "master" branch that is on the original remote state. This can be pulled without any conflicts because I don't develope on it

Reviewing has nothing to do With git, so you review it like you normally would.

Test it like you normally would

so, when you pull the master and want to merge it with your dev branch, you can first create a "mergeTest" branch to avoid further problems and reset. For review you can use your IDE in the compare mode

They will see the commits, which will show the changes .. And based in their knowledge of the code base, they can review your request

So, they see that and reject the request

That chnage would have caused a compilation error or crash (depending on the language)
