When sending a mail from PHP (using phpmailer, mail or something similar), you can enter whatever address you want in the 'from' field, right? Or will it not work with addresses like gmail and hotmail?
I'm attempting to set up a system that allows my users to send mails to each other (we all know each other IRL so no spam danger), and i'd like to set the FROM field to the user that sent the field so that they can continue the conversation through normal mail
So FROM to your own no-reply address and the reply-to to the mail address of the user that initiated the mail should work? If someone were to 'reply' to that mail, it will only sent to the initiating user?
yea, but if they do sign nowadays (my old network communications class explained it like it still didn't happen), then i won't take the risk of being marked as spam. I just want to get it working as conveniently as possible for the users.
I wouldn't feel very comfy reading an email that originated from somewhere else. You can always just ask users to input their email/pass if you all know each-other and send mail through their mail-server instead of yours. I think reply-to is the more 'decent' approach although FROM will probably work.

@LeviMorrison I dislike the concept of starting to teach a language by how it integrates with another technology. I don't think PHP's "Hello World" should be in a <p> tag in an HTML page, rather it should be in a php script.
It gives the wrong impression that PHP should be used like that. While you get productive fast writing php embedded in HTML, and it's something to show to first time users, it encourages the sort of development that makes people hate php to begin with.
Hi Friends i have a serious issue in the ssl:
I have registered the ssl previously for <https://www.mydomain.com>
and now its break and new ssl is for the mydomain.com
and my all the google results are cached in mydomain.com
if i open the mydomain.com then "the site is not secured" (SSL error) comes, Any way to redirect mydomain.com to mydomain.com
i have tried with htaccess but not work for me.. Thanks in advance
Thanks a lot Jack, I asked to the SSL provider but he cannot give me that previous certificate he told me the reason is too late so.. can i do that redirection... am really get frustrated with this issue

Whats is the proper way to implement calculators (like PSU calc or calc for some parametric product which may or may not include sub-features, like if user want a special aerography for his case he can select it from list etc). I mean is there some template of mathematical model for such things? Currenlty in my project it implemented in very retarded way - bunch of ajax responders (PHP) and JS decides what parts of form to activate.

@Ihsan they can only write their command to the url array and when i put that array in explode ',' comma separated, how would it effect.. eg 'SELECT * FROM my_types WHERE id IN (' . implode( ',', $arrintMyTypesIds ) . ')';
they can change the content of $arrintMyTypesIds and ultimately its gonna split , seperated

In my db i have some tables,in one i store the urls that i index with my crawler then i have make some scripts that take every url from the db and crawl it for emails,etc info i want and then insert them in another table. I have tested it for two sites,for the one works fine and for the other seems to work when i test one link but when i try to do what i do at the first site( parse all urls from the db) it stops.
