@EtiennedeMartel I think that largely misses the point. Nintendo is mostly popular with pre-teen to early teens kids. The fact that the same (or very similar) title may have been available for 20+ years is mostly irrelevant. Kids buy it/them, enjoy them, and eventually out-grow them -- but there are more 8 year-olds (or whatever exact age) all the time, and Nintendo continues to serve them decently (and the other consoles don't nearly as well).

And, disclaimer: I'm a PS3 owner. It was my main gaming platform from 2009 to 2012.

I played hundreds of hours with those crap controllers.

They're not bad, they're simply the exact same thing as the first PS1 controller, and that was designed at a time where ergonomy wasn't considered important for game controllers.

Likely. Speaking of Nintendo, the Wii was a bit of a dissapointment, in a few cases. Like... good idea, but at least make not everything pointing only. I cannot think of how many times I was thinking, "why did they not make the arrows work for this"? Tisk. That is why the Mario Kart menu is my favorite: it is point free.
