Basically I'm currently studying for a Databases exam. Looking at the past papers there is a question I'm confused on and have been Googling around for hours. Basically the first question asks. Describe the view mechanism in the context of a DBMS and explain the benefits it provides

The next question asks. Describe views in context of the relational model and in particular how they differ from base relations.
