But.. from comments and SEDE queries, there are a few things that contribute: Closed, Negative Score, Deleting, Deleting with an Answer on it less than 60 days after posting seems to be extra bad. Maybe it's only 30.. Yes, I think it's only 30 days.

I deleted my Question less than 60 days after posting. I remember because I lost the reputation points I had gained on it. It had an Answer, but I checked meta, and I was in the clear, so it has to be 30 days only.

I do know that it's not just if it has a negative score. The score makes a difference. So a user can be Question banned with only two Questions if the scores are very low, which is why I almost never downvote a post if it's already down.

@Joshua In most cases, we would undelete questions where the OP has deleted the question after an answer has been given, assuming someone asks for that to happen. In this case, I'm having a hard time not seeing this particular question as a typo, or at least very close to such (i.e. closable and eventually deleted).

However, while I have done a reasonable amount of programing in assembly for a few different architectures, I really haven't looked at any significant number of assembly based questions here on SO, so I'm not familiar with what would normally be considered at that level of mistake for questions in that tag. If you feel it should be undeleted, then raising a custom moderator flag and explaining is a reasonable thing to do.

Is that the right place to post suspected duplicates? If not, do you know if there is such a chat?

Where on SO can I post a collection of all provably incorrect php answers which have been upvoted into invincibility?

I can't see the answer but "link-only" alone is usually enough justification to delete it (counts as NAA).

But shouldn't the OP be given some time to edit the answer? I mean those are 7 upvotes and an acceptance that it wouldn't get back if were posted as a new answer with adequate included in the answer itself. The answer had 3-4 links in it to what I guess some good resources...

The question is 6 years old so the answer was also likely old, wasn't it? The author in this case had years to edit it. Also, with a score higher than 3 and having been visible for at least 6 months, they won't lose the rep earned via upvotes.

@JeanneDark I still stand by my assessment that the answerer should have received some more time. A good answer is identified by its votes. If the answerer posts a new answer with all the info required to be considered an actual answer then this one won't have as many votes (as gathered over the years) and won't be as clear as an indication to a visitor that it is a good/reliable answer...

If the edit is approved after the closure, it will automatically cause the question to enter the reopen queue.

I posted this, which is not an Answer at all on a post:

Stream.toArray() returns an Object[] which cannot be cast to boolean[], so that doesn't work. You also cannot use Stream.toArray(boolean[]::new) on your "inner" result, as boolean is a primitive and cannot be used as a variable for a generic parameter type. It works for int because IntStream has an inbuilt method to create an int[].

As you've discovered it works for Boolean[][] since Boolean can be used as a variable for a generic parameter, but that still doesn't get you a boolean[][]

..and less than 5 minutes later.. it's deleted.

To be honest, posting an Answer explaining what is going on seems low quality, when they're asking for a solution. Posting an explanation with a solution seems like SCITE since there are already 3 Answers and I'm not going to post some obscure solution just to be different. But none of the already posted Answers explains what's going on. So I just picked the best option available.

But some of the flagged posts can still be saved (translated, or link-only answers with added content (happens, rarely, but happens)). In these cases a VLQ comes in handy because the flag gets automatically marked helpful. (I didn't see the answer you flagged so I don't know why it was declined)

@DanielWiddis If a post is not in English you can flag it as VLQ and if it's not improved, it will be deleted. In your case, the answer was not VLQ. It was an answer to the question. "No" is a valid answer to a "Can I..?" question.

If OP doesn't respond to the comment and you think there's value in the question and answer on the site, and you don't change their intent, it's remotely possible an edit might be approved and the question reopened.

@Omid.N Yes. As was posted and deleted, please see the FAQ section on "noisy" formatting (oneboxing). We try not to use formatting that results in SE Chat converting the message into a oneboxed summary of what's linked to. Basically, if we allowed it, then everybody would want to use it for their messages, as it attracts more attention. That would rapidly make chat overall significantly less useful to those who are reading it.
