Did a quick search for houses: 2000+ square feet, 3+ bedrooms, free-standing house. In Bellevue, there are 12 houses for $600K or less. Same specs but in Carmel Valley, San Diego: zero houses. Raise the price limit to $700K: still none. Raise it to $800K: finally get two houses. I'd take Bellevue's prices any time...
