iostream.h is not a standard header. conio.h is completely unnecessary. The other headers you include are all deprecated. main must return int. The C strings should be replaced with std::string. gets has been removed from both C and C++ recently because it's terrible (use std::getline). exit(1) can and should be return EXIT_FAILURE;. The gotos should be loops. Overall, you shouldn't be squishing everything into one function. I'm sure the gotos will naturally disappear given separate functions that reduce main into a clear flow pattern. — chris 4 mins ago

Anybody knows if memory mapped files can leave file 'open' even after its closed? (MSVC) Currently I have closed the MMF, but the application fails to open it with fopen after this. However in explorer I am able to edit/delete the file without problems during runtime.

Avogadro's Constant simply converts atomic mass units into SI mass units.

i.e., if the atomic mass of hydrogen is 1, and you have 1kg of hydrogen gas, then you have Avogadro's Constant number of atoms.

Problem is, an atomic mass unit is defined as 1/12 of a carbon C12 atom.

as for the Planck Constant, I have little idea how that relates.
