But I agree, all routers are crap. The g radio on mine got so weak it is practically unusable about a year after I bought it, and now I have to use my old router as an access point to have a g network so my phone can connect to it

When plugged directly to the modem, I get 7MB/s. When plugged via router, I get 1.5MB/s max.

And not even close to max usually. And ultimately I'd like some QoS, so router bursting in fire even without packet inspection is no good.
