My ISP here at New York just gave away a 300mbps plan for free since they were outphasing some lines. Long story short, they upgraded everyone to the next plan.

mine did a bullshit where it made me wait a whole 20 minutes; which it chatted to the ISP and eventually filled in my password for me etc. I did nothing except wait impatiently. For all I know a call-center tech had to join the fun.
