I'm writing a thing with richtextbox in wpf and it is painfully slow

no using the richtextbox, adding highlighting on text matched by a regex

can't believe how slow it is

whats the regex look like?

it is dynamic, you read a file, write a regex and then the matches are highlighted

like in VS when you find

are the regex's themselves the slow part?

same as highlighting

so...

problem was everytime i run program, select a pl (in combobox), i still needed to refresh it or reselect loadfiles ... then highlighting will appear .

sample, for the word "as" as program runs 1st its color white

then when i select c# it turns to blue (since i assign blue)

then when i select javascript it still remain to color blue (since c# was my 1st item to select)

but it shouldnt be like that

i got the list in the code problem was it doesnt update everytime i reselect ... it stock to 1st selection :/ ... sample if i select "Javascript" 1st in combobox... all keywords for javascript will be highlighted to lightblue, but when i select c# it doesnt update but highlighting was same as javascript ... specially when a keyword was both on c# and j.s ctrl

hey guys...I've kind of a weird question: I want to find out if I've write access to a specific directory without actually writing/creating a file (could be a write-once medium and I don't want to ruin it with a testfile). The method has to work on Linux and on Windows operating systems and it should also detect writing capabilities over a network connection (for example if I'm connected to a NAS)

is there a way to do that?
