- You will not be left alone when you age (if you have one kid and decided to ignore you = problem)

I'm with Petter on that one. That's a terrible reason to have more kids. I wouldn't wish having your kid die on my worst enemy

Personally I am not going to produce a lot of kids just because of that

It is because I like a huge family, makes me feel more manly

That your kids die before you it the worst thing that can happen to a parent... anyway The meaning of life is Kids, sooner or later maybe you will realize it as I did

There is no reason for me to spread my genes

TBH, That's actually a dumb way of doing it. It's equivalent to if(true) return true

Use the sum directly.
