Well, I'm just a little new to javascript, but well-versed in OOP. I'm interested in composing a set of class objects in another class object, though using a service is leading to a need for some kind of initialization in my dummy array code.

alright. Basically, when I get an instance of the object b service in my composing class, the private constructor parameter for the service then is considered a property of the class, and npm throws an error because some kind of initialization isn't included in the dummy array

a.length would return 3

@32teeths Index has nothing to do with length. If you have an array, you can get its length by calling array.length. When you assign something to an index that doesn't yet exist, you're populating all positions prior to that index (assuming they don't already have values)

console.log(myArr.length); // will return the length of the array

indices start at 0

think of the array index as "how far from the beginning". the first item is 0 away from the beginning
