@jgr208 10/10. In the city, even with my "new owner speed bursts" I average 14 MPG, on a highway journey, 24-27MPG. It has sport and comfort mode, which alters the throttle response. In sport, it's incredible. And the dual clutch makes it shift so fast

Plus, for the sheer sake of sound, it drops extra gas when you shift while the gas pedal is pressed, so it "burps" when it shifts and sounds so cool

even the short turbo lag sucks when you are trying to do a little sidways action and are used to NA cars

I think the best part about the S4 is that unless you know cars, it's a total sleeper. I can't tell you how many little ricey hondas I've already dusted off the line because they thought my car was sluggish

EVOs depend on the turbo more for power, so the ratio of turbo to engine i shigher

@ssube i meant the new CLA amg only comes in auto so you need to spool at lower rpms. haha its useful on the highway when you want to pass a car. drop into 4th then get on the gas and youll shoot foward

older 4 cylinders had that problem where htye would spool real slow at low rpms

there are a few quality comparisons of the various brands

For example:I took my car to a carwash on saturday, and it had a line belt for after wash cleaning. The SUV in front of me was half on half off, and the front tires rolled (they do that on purpose to get space before putting it on the line)

this sort of thing is usually pretty good

watching some of the cheap japanese brands is funny

@jgr208 mine has a few different modes. comfort shifts around 2500-3k, but that's fine since it spools by 2k anyway. sport shifts around 4k-6k, depending on how you're working the pedal. Heavy on the pedal recently, it waits to shift.
