@Kippie I see :) My first thought was that you already know the answer. Actually, the examples are the only 3 cases as well where it came in handy for me til now;
If your function, bar, doesn't use its identfier for recursion, the the only usecase I would see is the case of an error occuring within bar.

How can I quickly find all instances of a certain string in all files with a certain name, searching the current directory and subdirectories? I have some version of grep installed on Windows, but I couldn't figure out how to bend it to my will.

Hey everyone. I am developing a web application that includes multiple clients (android, website). The clients should be able chat with each other and post (and read) news. This means that all the news is added by the clients. Would node.js be a good option for this or would a plain php web service and a database be sufficient?
