We are using TFS (microsofts built in Visual Studio source control). I'm sure there's a way to branch, but I don't expect anyone here to know how. I spent 20 minutes explaining why the program was crashing because swap+ram was completely full. They didn't even know what swapfile was.

Visual Studio is nice in that it actually has burndowns and time estimations and other things you can do to visualize your workload when you create tasks.

Either way, the branching is irrelevant because I'm the intern and am mostly responsible for testing the new code, so I got to be pulling from the main (only) branch all the time. The problem is he breaks the other 3 developers builds and everyone spends 1-2 hours just fixing his code. Lol.

Yeah, I just go and tell the dev I report to (Dev) broke the build, again, then we spend the hour or two fixing his shit. The other thing is we are working on a machine where we control the hardware, yet the problem dev refuses to test his commits on an actual machine because he wants to work in the office part of the company and not in the garage where the machines he develops for are. Basically, its just bad management, but I have no one to rant to and this is cathartic.
