I had to learn that on my own for my senior term project

Does anyone know with Group Policy, If you deployed a policy to computers and then want to remove it. If you just delete the GPO link, it dont think that removes whatever settings were set on the client computers?

i'm trying to get it to behave like a more performant LIKE '%stuff%', and sadly, it cannot do that

performance isn't the issue, it's a little bit faster than like, depending on the run, by ~50%, but, you can't do leading wild cards, is the issue i'm having

and double wildcard LIKES do full table scans

but i'm still playing with it

The better way here would be to use something like a raven db or lucene index for this

SQL is inherently slow by design at this type of problem

That said if you already have layers of shit sat on top of the db stuff can you not just do the query in a cached layer of the data?

hold an index in ram of just the searchable data and primary key values then do a lookup if you need to retrieve the full record

I don't know enough to say weather that could help though

just throwing ideas out there
