@Rapptz yeah the interface between algorithms and schemas is the whole business

what you decide goes in that interface is what schemas have the liberty to expose, and 'shapes' the result that algorithms compute from what’s exposed

you should tailor it to your needs, i.e. I don’t think there is one true way to do it

The original paper made algorithms seem like something the client shouldn't care much about so it's why I felt a little hesitant over them having more than one operation on it.

the more you want to make available to algos, the more you ask of schemas

@Rapptz one concern for me is that algo writers might feel the need to use underhanded tricks if not enough is exposed

mostly with the use of state/mutation, the result being a big IoC mess

hashing is a good example

yeah you can put the whole state in the whole algo and update that as you visit the members etc.

but then you’re doing a tree traversal in unspecified order

I choose to reflect that tree structure explicitly

json has a lot of weird behaviours

like nullable types

and keys not existing and that being okay
