A question has been closed as duplicate, but the duplicate is not a very good target (it's not that bad either, just slightly off). Still, OP has voted to close as Community. Is there something to do or should I just move on? I'm for the "move on" choice, but I prefer having another opinion.
Of course its not a currency, but its a KPI. The greater your KPI the better you do. If you did well 9 years ago it doesn't mean that you do well now, but community still trusts you, according to the current point system. In scientific community, your Hirsch index decays over time if you don't "post", but your work remains for all to see and use, forever. Wouldn't it be hilarious if the guy really had found a way to violate the law of energy conservation and because we mocked and deleted his question now he will take that knowledge to the grave with him

This user's four answers are all identical duplicates, and borderline spam. I've commented and downvoted all - and it looks like others have flagged some already, e.g. @tunaki. Now, I'll also flag as duplicates... because while I like scripts I don't completely trust them. (Hey - if there is an automatic script to identify duplicates, why doesn't it just delete them before we see them?)
my message to nathan: "if you didn't include a link to the user it would be fine". It's because of the reason that there's drama happening with the user
@Mogsdad So you are going to keep flagging duplicate answers? Also if you vote on 3 or more answer in a short time that may qualify you as a serial voter. I do not know if it handles deleted answers.
@NathanOliver Advice from ChrisF was to downvoted & comment... done. Drew made the point (and was rebuffed) that we were being asked to act like stalkers & serial voters. We'll see.
@Tunaki HTF would we know one way or the other? It's why BoltClock's answer makes sense - if a human notices a problem and flags it, and a script makes a similar determination, it's easy to say the human's flag was "helpful"... and since the script only picks up exact duplicates, humans are more reliable identifiers of pretty-darn-exact dupes anyway.
It is enthusiastic self promotion from a user with a network profile. it a coin toss on what to do. I left comment. In a case like this I would mod flag and explain. let them decide how to handle the user.
I see these two expressions are used almost identically in different contexts. Is there a difference between I have got and I have gotten?
