Online compilation to the IR is possible, but discouraged in recent years. I mean, you don't really want to do unnecessary work at runtime anyways, unless you're morphing something at runtime.

@CatPlusPlus just in case: to_string is mostly for display purposes (like Show or str/repr), to_owned kinda like a Clone, to obtain your own owned copy. ofc they do the same thing on str etc., but it’s more or less coincidental. so it’s not just faster or not, it’s also a matter of semantics
