I am having some difficulty compiling a C++ program that I've written.

sum(A(:))
% or
sum(...sum(sum(A,n),n-2)...,1) % where n is the dimension of A
However once it gets to expressions the (:) doesn't work anymore, like
sum((A-2*A)(:))
is no valid matlab synt...
