A: Running MSBuild fails to read SDKToolsPath

Simply pass GenerateSerializationAssemblies parameter with value Off to your MsBuild. msbuild.exe /p:GenerateSerializationAssemblies=Off

i tried building a WPF app with .net core and my class library

never again

tbf my issues were with wpf and multithreading, i think core was fine

I found in my heterogenous server environment, .net framework 4.6 is the highest i can get away thatll run on all the old versions of windows server i have inc. 2008 - 2012

id have thought that would work, always thought 2012 was kinda equivalent to windows 8.1 from the UI

no idea if thats the case under the hood

honestly, if it doesnt like it it wont install it

is this on a dev or production server?

it's the build server. I'm actually indirectly guiding them. I can't touch the server myself because I'm on the development team. You know all the politics about developers touching UAT and prod and build servers. It's like a No No, bad practice stuff

I have a list containing fuzzy matched strings with respective score(int) for a given input string. From the result, i want to order by the score and get the top result with and without 'mandatory key'

from top matches i want to select Net Earnings Current as the best match if the mandatory key is net. if mandatory key is empty, id go with Regular pay current
