Copying and pasting the same answer for different questions is not the correct thing to do. If the exact same answer is required for different questions, then those questions could be duplicates; it could also be the user is generalizing too much the question being asked, and writes the same ans...

@josilber that's fine, but shog's not the arbiter of policy at SO. Luckily it is a community site where individuals can act based on their own opinions, which is good because often times certain bigwigs have been very wrong on stuff

As you requested, a quick run-through of your specific examples: Is VLQ - but not entirely obvious without the benefit of seeing the other answers to the question. It is a factual answer... Is VLQ Is NOT VLQ - may not be particularly helpful when compared to some of the other answers, but does ...

I got all those declines mostly because I was going after OLD answers.

Shog suggests in the comments that flagging new answers, and not all at once, goes over better with moderators.

Both - there will be some measure of disagreement, and that's ok. Improve your odds by not raising too many flags in a very short period of time, if you can help it; if someone's flooding the site with crap, that's unavoidable, but if it looks like you're just clogging the queue with old answers that matched a search query some mods will decline all at the first sign of inaccuracy. — Shog9 ♦ Aug 18 at 19:15

@durron597 Yeah, I guess? I conclude that I won't flag anything that makes any attempt to answer unless it's copied from some other answer, in which case I custom flag.

cleanup stuff people are actually looking at bumped questions from new answers on old questions.
