@JohnPurtle You should look into use cases. The best way to formalize usage of a program is by minimizing the number of clicks in order to do what would be presumed to be very ordinary uses of your program

Kind of like making your website easier to navigate, except for applications

Everywhere.. even to have a function run when the page loaded is inversion of control

though most of what jQuery does is pass it off to methods you'd be calling otherwise

A library is something you call from your program. A framework is something that calls into your program. and express does do that with connect and middleware
