About your comment, can I confirm my understanding for your proposal? You want to use "google-apps-script" as the prefix of the tags related to Google Apps Script like "google-apps-script-###". Is my understanding correct?

@Tanaike your skill troubles no one here (especially since it is not bad) :) re:proposal - my understanding of the proposal is synonymizing all (or most) of the branching tags (google-apps-script-* prefixed) to the main google-apps-script (please correct me if I am wrong, @TheMaster). I have a couple of reservations about certain tags, but that's for further discussion

@Tanaike My proposal would be to merge all [tag:google-apps-script-*] to just google-apps-script. But the answer in my meta defines the criteria we should put to test before creating new branch tags or merging existing branch tags

@Tanaike Your English is as good as Ruben's. If anything, You should be more confident. Your lack of confidence is more troubling, IMO:) If you don't understand something, plainly ask without apologizing. Always assume that the other party didn't explain it clearly. 😇

@MariosKaramanis TBH, When I first started, I used to think that about his answers too.

@OlegValter My initial idea of meta post per issue isn't going to go well I think. It seems people in meta are already fed up with our antics. I am or will be going vigilante especially if others are going to continue to tag retag useless tags(IMO). However We can continue to discuss and whether if we can come to a conclusion.

@TheMaster ah, I see what you mean. Well, if they are later synonymized (if it is decided to do so), this won't hurt much as all questions will get connected? I think that even if we do deal with them, it should be synonymizing - a user enters google-apps-script-* and still ends with the main tag, win-win scenario.

I'm sorry, but I did my best to do nothing, while he keeps tagging. But even after noted opposition, He keeps retagging undettered and I'm tired of seeing long tags and bumped up questions

@OlegValter We need 5 votes. If we discuss here, We don't have 5 votes for synonimization, especially if even one of us opposes.

@TheMaster I know - we need more people for that - basically that is what happened to gs-installable-triggers, it is in limbo at best now (I actually ranted about it somewhere up the pipeline :), hopefully it will start off with time. I am trying to find out active users with positive contributions closing to 2K threshold for now.

@OlegValter On the other hand, if I retag everything back, The burden of proof rests on him or moderator has to directly decide. I'm ok with both of those decisions.

I think I will be able to reach 2.5k by the end of August. Hopefully. I answer both python and GAS questions but of course mainly GAS. So it is easy for me to level up . But definitely I will help you guys with the tags. @TheMaster @OlegValter.

@TheMaster and with Bhargav back in tagging it is a shame to see a position that I think is best described by a phrase of one of the politicians from where I am from that approximately translates to "parlament is not a place for discussion" :) Well, maybe if folks are tired of seeing questions about tags, let's tone it down for a while (maybe half a week or a week?) and let everyone went off steam (I know it sounds frustrating, but I sense a new meta drama if there is a tagging war...).

@OlegValter That's the idea though. If tagging war is posted by him, He has to also bear the burden of proof now. I'd like to see him validating google-apps-script-menu and google-apps-script-dashboard to the community. If he successfully wins, All hail. If not, sanity returns.

Back when I was naiive, pnuts used to be active in the community. I didn't know much about tags, but I remember him saying this about Ruben. Checking back my history, I found it. Interesting read:

@TheMaster well, it is more of a gut feeling that it will all may blow up badly... One of the reasons - noticeable rising tensions that might be useful to let cool down a little before going forward. I know the war is going on, I just think it is not the right time to make it a "hot" one. That said, I am happy to be the "said so" guy :) And if it goes smoothly - even better

@OlegValter @TheMaster Thank you. About the tag with the prefix of "google-apps-script", I think that it is a good idea. If I have a question, when "google-apps-script-arrays" is used, there are a lot of tags like "google-apps-script-loop", "google-apps-script-fetch" and so on. But I'm not sure whether my understanding for this is correct.

@OlegValter @TheMaster And, unfortunately, I cannot still understand about the problems about discussing in the thread. So at first, I thought that it is required to understand about it.
