I'll admit, I'm not the most knowledgeable on pretty much anything but PC's. so really, all I've got to roll with is my philosophy

and I don't think any unshared philosophy is correct philosophy, until someone's had a chance to check it.

any guy whos IQ is somewhat >80 should realize that the whole financial, gold based economical system, only leads to (small group, getting more and more wealth) and most people will lose more and more wealth, which ultimately will lead to war and hate in the long run

@Shea I mean, where I'm getting at with this... I think it's just the way we've taught ourselves to learn new things. I don't believe "dumb people" (most) really are dumb, but rather have a different mode of transportation in their minds. if that makes sense

I've never had any problems with cops, and yet all of my friends my age can't get stopped without ending up tackled and on the ground

I love this kind of comments. I have a "That's what she said" when it is directed to me

It's like they have a mental block, that they can't see their own actions pissing the cop off

I love cops, but I hate bad people . Sometimes, cops are bad people, as some plumbers are, so I don't love them. There is bad people everywhere.

I'm using promises, XHR and setinterval. I think something is being preserved in my promise stack and calls are growing exponentially.

like I have a html page broken down in DIVS. This divs represent different sections. and the page shows only one div section at a time. I wanted to refresh the page after every section.

Yes it is possibe. But you probably have a lack of knowledge concerning JavaScript, DOM, Ajax and HTML if you ask this question like that.

A: Getting a simple javascript to work in Linux that i created in Windows

when i run it it just freezes. No error or anything FF freezes and becomes un responsive and i have Well here's your problem: while(true){ Infinite loops block the browser. You did something really bad and now bad things happen. Do something good. I have no idea what you're trying to do...

@Neal I would like to use websockets (if available) in my chrome extension in addition to the standard StackExchange Api to get realtime notifications.

So Assume a WebSocket created in javascript which connects to "sockets.ny.stackexchange.com".
You then can send messages to the server to "subscribe" to events on the StackExchange Network. And the server sends back a message on every new event. e.g: if i would send "1-question-12345", i would receive a message from the server for every change that happend in the question with the id "12345".

Use a SQL database for all comments and blah blah blah .. now write a db cache powered by Redis and store the very frequent data into the redis store

If you disconnect your laptop's screen and connect your laptop to two external monitors I guess it's ok, but they're still generally slower

2 is fine for me. and I will take the little slowliness if I have the flexibility and portability
