If you deal with a lot of asynchronous stuff, it might be a good idea of have this method on your objects:

        destroy: function() {
            for(var i in this) {
                if (this.hasOwnProperty(i)) {

                    if (Object.defineProperty) {

                        Object.defineProperty(this, i, {
                            get: (function(i) {
                                return function() {
                                    throw new TypeError('Access to property "' + i + '" of destroyed class instance.');
                                };
                            })(i)

this will make life a lot easier and catch any stray timeouts / intervals and a lot of other shenanigans :)

it's called FUNCTIONAL reactive programming for a reason. Mutating state is a side effect
