I noticed there are huge issues with the backtick

its width is 0 for some reason

like a zero width control character lol

so it merges with text

I reccomend changing the font. Perhaps use a web safe font thats also on IOS

Also, JBis, if you do want to do collab work on the website, I can work on getting some icons, logos, and other things up and running

I remember saying I would make an svg logo and I never did ;-;

I work with "some" design, but i do more fluid flat web design, Ive just started working with SVG

I did plenty of graphic/digital art with plain images

take for example my unfinished community site, functflow.web.app

thats the kinda work I do

I could try making a professional looking flat logo with your site color scheme

Ill try it out, I gotta adapt to svg though

i'd like to do everything custom so please don't use font awesome or anything

its like going to a foreign country, their language being svg

Yeah, Id use some free MIT sourced icons temporarily, like ones owned, but free for use anywhere, like github.com/refactoringui/heroicons

and then once were either able to get a professional designer, or Im able to master SVG

we can make our own

If you wanna get really serious in setting this community up, your a better programmer than I am, and it would be best to start a little community to help us out

Probably could ask some followers from webdev guilds, and see if they can help popularize and improve it

this may turn out to be a bit lighter than i thought

@forresthopkinsa if we ever move to bundling in app its a PIA to bundle font awesome with it (needed if going to be used offline)

its not really necessary right now but if we are going to have someone doing icons might as well be custom

I dunno, recreating FA icons doesn't seem like a good use of time to me. Not my project, you can do it however you want, but I feel like your reservations might be misplaced
