I wrote a bunch of functions to work with serial-port. I have them in a separate js file in my project. I want to import them into my vue app, but have the defined functions available globally as well as the myPort instance. According to the docs I can give access to the instance by defining them as a prototype. vuejs.org/v2/cookbook/adding-instance-properties.html How would I then make the functions globally accessible from all components? Just a regular import?

look into Vue mixins and see if they serve your purpose

that's the Vue way of doing global functions

I could just require the js file that would work. But it wouldn't be global
