Using D3.js; Generating many SVGs with 'click' events attached to each element.

CURrently using the d3.selectAll(svg).on('click', function(){}) method to attach events. But now figuring this is bad for performance when amount of SVGs generated climbs higher.

Wondering if anyone knew of best practices way people attach event to parent of SVG instead of on each SVG element individually.
