470 is actually pretty damn good for the price, was like $200 I want to say, and my son can play ultra at 1080 on pretty much every game getting 60 or close to it

I have sent an XHR request to one route in an express server hosted on IIS. When I send the request to the express instance it pops up basic auth. I then proceed to enter the correct details but it denies access giving back a 403.

Any inklings into possible reasons for that?

FYI all other routes return as expected except for this one where the route contains a call requiring basic authentication.

make sure you don't have iis basic auth turned on

you don't want iis messing with auth if you're doing the auth through node.

my suggestion though would be to drop iisnode and reverse proxy.

I've never worked with iisnode (other than tinkering with it for 15 min before dropping it for reverse proxy because it didn't just work) so i'm not sure whether or not it would cause your problem
