@FizzyTea Nothing, expect that it gets really cumbersome once your grammar starts getting non-trivial. Also the error messages are extremely unhelpful. While they make sense after a while, it's not easy to see why certain grammar definitions fail unless when you "inline" them, but work when you write them out completely.

Also building my own AST builder has the benefit of being able to add scope objects and other meta data in one pass
