Question, Can i rely on Glide to take care of profile picture images with proper disk caching so it doesn't always download them(Load from disk instead if it is same url and was loaded a few days ago, saved in disk)?
In messeging app, what should be the limit a user can send messages in, like x number of messages per y secs, What the x and y should be? i was thinking 7 messages in 5 secs.
yes, message flooding, my users do that all the time, using third party tools, like when they get kicked out they immediately load their flooding guns.
@user10844401 Check how fast a user realistically sends messages and use that as limit. Simple as that. That still won't stop people from trying to figure out that exact rate and using that for their flooding.

Thought the same thing when I wanted to log into steam recently and had the steam app uninstalled before that. They sent the code to my phone to validate it properly, I opened the SMS I got and then the thing where I had to put the code in closed in the meantime.
