I don't like the new Macbooks because I need ports a lot. I'm using my HDMI, 2x USB, Audio, and charger right now

At work I use thunderbolt too in addition to all the above

The newer Macs just don't cut it for me, I'm not interested in dropping $$$ on laptops and more $$$ on docks/adapters

Maybe, in the next 5-10 years as everything transitions to USB C, I'll look at single port Macs again

But for now, I'll likely be replacing my mac with a Ubuntu laptop next year
