yes, for that I also have built an explicit method to release camera if being used by others

I don't think you can release the camera if it's being used by someone else

i think the issue is that it is not granted that granted if i'm on 6.0+

and i am not sure how to go about it. I am actually a C# developer in Android mask. stated android programming a month or so.

so still a lot to learn

any idea why this part won't switch on the torch??

i had to set the permissions manually from settings :(

it is not generating any error but the flash is not turning on

I'm guessing params are null, considering you're assigning them after the if statement

params are not null but when i do camera.startPreview() params disappear from watchlist
