I just don't know it to the point that my exams ask for :D

Because 99% of the time, std::sort will work better than you need

For instance, embedded systems will often use Bubble Sort

Because it has negligible code footprint, and is in place, and works fairly well, and is actually quite fast for semi sorted inputs

But, none of that is important if you can't make sense of it when you look up time/space complexities for it :D
