software/tech changes pace so fast by the time you hit mastery I would argue the whole stack has changed

thankfully my biggest strengths are picking up new technologies, working in code without creating side effects and debugging

works perfectly for client work

not so great at turning out features/code day after day

get too distracted

still get my job done, don't get me wrong

NAND is a universal gate, yes

And you could technically build any logic system out of it

But it would be foolish to do so, using other gates is much more efficient

Anyone tried flutter? I wonder how implicit the layout was. In XML, the childs build depend on parent, in flutter, the parents build depend on child.

Do we have any open-hardware mobile phone ?

I know about different boards (I am a community member of Beagleboard) and how we can use modules to convert them into a mobile phone, but I am looking for something much more integrated.

You can build one out of a raspberry pi and some parts

It's not truly open, since the LTE/GSM modules are still closed source

But it's close enough for playing around

Building a truly open hardware GSM module will be expensive though

Mostly due to regulatory certs

Would methods of reducing the rural population be acceptable? Giving everyone a free cellphone and building out a global cell network is the boring approach.
