How does the alpha/beta feature work? Just give it a list of emails and a signed apk and you can start shipping the thing out to their emails? If you have to update the database schema at all, is it usually common to just completely uninstall / reinstall rather than increment the version number pre-live release?

why can't I use Settings.System.putInt()?

I have WRITE_SETTINGS in my manifest and have the permission granted

and Settings.System.canWrite() return true

What's weirder is it tells me I can't store my settings in the secure settings

Well it looks like the issue was fixed with API 24

And my target API is 25

So I guess I'll try setting the target back to 24

still happens on 24
