lol, the company i'm doing my internship is interviewing recent graduates and so far three of them haven't been able to solve it. we've even told them of the modulo operators

I don't think fizzbuzz is a good way to weed out bad programmers. It's one of those things you "need" to know to solve. Not being able to solve it really means nothing just the same as most people know of it and they know the solution. It may display experience vs. lack of experience but it says nothing about the actual potential or skill of the developer.
