firstly, double-check you have actually fulfilled it
then secondly, it will probably help shape the structure of your report - the report is a "response" to the brief, in a way
look at me, talking as if I was good at school
I was absolutely terrible, did no work at all until I was like 21
but still, if I was a teacher I would want students to demonstrate understanding rather than blindly carrying out instructions without thinking
