@JoeWatkins There are some classes which do not call zend_object_std_dtor() as part of their free_object handler, you'll need to fix these instances as well
so that they release weakrefs, otherwise it'll go bad
I don't know which ones, just searching for the handlers and noticing missing dtors
@JoeWatkins we currently are relying on having extensions to that by convention. is there any reason why we don't simply call zend_object_std_dtor() ourselves after calling the handler instead of relying on extensions?
I think it would be maybe best to release the weakrefs before after the free_obj calls (there are about 4 of them) instead of in the dtor?
not really our problem, an earlier version of the patch exported notify function for that reason, then for some reason I removed the export
will have to export it and just fix the odd cases, then those exts in the wild that need to handle it can handle it the same way as those strange core exts that don't stick to convention ...

@NikiC I'm fine with it. I am currently wondering whether I have some code in a branch with a version up to date with mid last year (so that work of porting it to current PHP-7.4 should be minimal). I'll check this evening. The most important part would be anyway the discussion.
@NikiC You mentioned the possible slow start up on Windows, while reading some of the documentations for Remi's latest PR, I stumbled upon lazy loading of libraries PHP is linked against, I don't think we do that but it could potentially speed up startup time if PHP on AppVeyor is compiled against some large libraries we only need for certain extensions (like gdi for example). I need to think about it a bit more while reading the documentation in more depth but its a potential lead
my Mongodb find() seems NOT to work I have tried all I could and nothing works so far. using PHP7+

@ErickBest From the docs, find() returns a cursor (which is an iterator), and then you have to iterate over that cursor for the results. You can also use ->next() to advance the iterator, foreach, etc...
Has anyone done a salesforce integration and can give advice about it. I know that Salesforce is a massively powerful tool. If I want to just push sales and leadgen data to salesforce, do I need to do things like setup field mappings in my application, or does Salesforce have standard field names that should be used?
All options I have considered have (imo) legitimate drawbacks. I think it's a needed feature, but I don't envy the bikeshedding discussion that is probably going to come up.

@NikiC no argument there, we can always go with commit hashes (since they're easy and do-able now) and later change to something else, if something else amazing and simple comes along later.

The worst that comes to mind is the interaction of return type syntax with ternaries ($a ? ($b): Type ==> $c : $d;), but I wasn't able to break that completely

it's a bit like the parting of the red sea when you go that fast on the motorways, all of the cars just move out of the way miles ahead, you must be able to hear it for 5-10km at least, the noise is awesome ... there are no baffles in the exhaust, it feels like it makes the ground shake at town speeds ...

in spain people don't stop at pedestrian crossings most of the time, I had a spaniard in the car and she laughed at me for stopping at a pedestrian crossing to let people cross ...
@kuh-chan up to about 90mph, cars will tail the back of bikes very close, like you are in their way ...
@kuh-chan I mean crossings where there are no lights, in the uk you have to stop if there are pedestrians, and I'm pretty sure the law says you should do the same here in spain, but nobody does ...
how do you interpret crossing already ? if someone is standing waiting to cross, are they considered crossing already, or are they expected to walk out into moving traffic in the hope they stop ?

alternatively, empty the public folder and redirect everything to an index.php out of public root
alternatively, the redirection flags for apache work wonders to redirect all traffic to an index.php file, with the behaviour of removing index.php from the url if present
