I didn't say C was the only one, just the most well known language to compile into assembly

Technically all languages eventually compile into assembly in one way or another, but C directly translates the code into assembly commands one level deep. Where basic languages might compile into C and then into assembly. This is my understanding of it anyways.

Interesting, I'm familiar with many languages, Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, C, C++, C#, even some older ones, Pascal, Basic, (Scripting languages like javascript, html, css etc...). Have not heard of Golang yet.

What projects use Golang that are big out there right now?

Google uses it, Fastly uses it, Dropbox uses it, most major companies use it somewhere, lots of engineering companies too... it's at the same level as, say, Python, for popularity

Well this one that I am reading is particularly a MVC tutorial but it is without a framework. I understand the seperation of concerns idea, but I think that a MVC layout is the best way to implement that

Yes I have seen Patrick's tutorial, it's a great tutorial. I think that it in some way implements the MVC layout but it doesn't go into detail about each one

@Alesana most of the time. in MVC, the messages kinda flow in a circle, with the model updating the view

that's hard to do decently over http, particularly in a language like php where everything's rebuilt from scratch for each request
