why does my site load extremely slow (15s) when I type in www.mysite.com/subfolder/ but very fast when I go directly to www.mysite.com/subfolder/index.php ? can't pinpoint the issue..
@rlemon I don' t know anything about CI, but logic says to me that the second line makes the first line redundant. If you passed an empty parameter to $2 wouldn't that just be bar/$1/ ?
Unless of course.. a default controller is specified in which case my point is null
dunno .. it might be useful to keep in separate class , especially if you could face situation where replacing it with a different class ( of the same interface ) is a good option

@PolluxKhafra you need to learn more before you try to solve any problems. Learn about arrays and loops, spend 1 day trying to learn PHP before you start writing code. Come back after a day if you have questions.
@PolluxKhafra w3schools.com is a much hated site due to their lack of interest in ensuring that their information is accurate. I'm sure there is something better out there, but their PHP tutorial looks reasonable for a beginner. w3schools.com/php

@tereško Every time you guys flag something, all 10k+ users across the whole chat are asked to validate a flag given only a context free message and a link to the chat. That is terribly annoying.
@jalf I can't. That button popping up irks me to no end. It's like a phone ringing, I cannot concentrate on anything else, and just have to pick it up.
@tereško Can you give any reason why the über-gods on meta would even consider letting us opt out of flag validation? That would just put all the burden on the mods, after all.
@Gordon I didn't mind the first three or four flags, all about one user. I have seen such patterns in the C++ room (where I hang out), too. But when flags for other users popped up it got exasperating. (And what do you think the regulars in our room thought about you guys when you flagged my complaint??)
@PolluxKhafra if the question is an interesting one then often there will be a lot of people willing to help here. The important thing is that people here are under no obligation to help you. If they do it, it is because they want to. I enjoy helping people when there is an interesting question and I have certainly been helped many times here.
@thecoshman we wasnt quick to flag. i asked the offending to stop bugging people first. he didnt listen. so thats a flag then. and coming in here putting a bold chat message telling us our stupid flags are annoying is pretty the wrong choice of words.
Talking out of turn - that's a flaggin. Looking out the window - that's a flaggin. Staring at my sandals - that's a flaggin. Flagging the chat flagger - you better believe that's a flaggin!
I (luckily) do not have to have to deal with flagging, so I can't vouch for how much flagging is going on. But from what I know of @sbi he is not going to complain come here to complain about the quantity of flagging on a whim

Again, I have no access to see the flagging. Though I fail to see what you hope to achieve by flagging every annoying post a person makes. Unless I am mistaken, room owners can apply a temporary ban on some one. That would sure as hell stop some from annoying you
spam would be posting links to items such as fake viagra or links to ebay auctions. Buging is what a little kid would do to you when they want a sweet. Repeatedly bugging people is not offensive, an example of being offensive would be to tell someone "fuck off you inbred nigga", and there is no need to flag that, it's and example.

as an example, Lounge<C++> a person started asking inane questions that where very hard to decode from here Engirsh. As far as I am aware, she was never flagged. She was eventually ignored by every one, and as far as I am aware has not been since, of course, I wouldn't know as she is on my ignore list

Sadly, chat lacks kick functionality, but that does not mean you need to tell every person on SO who has over 10K rep that you didn't like a post
@thecoshman i didnt tell everyone i didnt like the post. i flagged the five offending questions to illustrate the OP's offensive behavior. given that there is no context in a single flag, this is the best you can do if you want to achieve an immediate temp-ban.
@thecoshman no. not all. when i flag i am saying this message needs to be reviewed because it is offensive/inappropriate/spam. just like it says in the tooltip. it has nothing to do with whether i like the message. its about the general quality of the message in context.
well then, now we are really debating what is meant by 'inappropriate' you have added in behaviour, which using the meaning I can see why you feel the need to flag. Taking that word (inappropriate) by it self makes it hard to work out what that means
@Gordon Again (and this is the last time I will repeat that): I was not complaining here about you flagging that one single person repeatedly — even though I consider this the wrong way to deal with this. I was complaining after other users started getting flagged, which reeked of a flagging war.
In the mean time, would you try to be more restrained with your flagging? I am tried of hearing that people are tired of seeing shit loads of flags to sort through.

for conflict resolution, it might be trait1::function1 instead of trait2::function2
but all those particulars are defined on the body of the class just like when you define the methods of the abstract class or implements a function of the interface
hope you got the over all picture of what I'm pointing out :D
it seems that traits may be exploited :( any programmer may no longer know the difference between interface, trait, and base classes and use traits for all of them for the reason of having polymorphism
how i wish i have lots of time to scroll over and answer some more questions so that i could perform more privileges should someone vote for the answers :D
