@KerrekSB Well, really it's just a common vocabulary to express guarantees in terms of other guarantees. E.g. std::vector<T>::assign has the same guarantees as that of the assignment operator of T (well I don't know if this example actually makes sense or is true).

@MooingDuck This does mean that behind the covers the object can actually become empty when construction fails. But when construction fails, there's no object to prod from the outside world so it still counts as the strong guarantee!
