std::less<void> and so on is invalid before C++14. Which is why it was coopted to add functionality.

probably the complicated part is variadics, not lambdas

well, lambdas are the story of four and a half years ago, and they don't really introduce any new concepts

it's the variadics that are probably the problem

dial tones are part of the calling mechanism and are irrelevant of what phone you call or what condition it's in

@CatPlusPlus Weird, I just tried with my own phone, turned it off and immediately called my number and the "the number you are trying to reach..." voice was already there.

Maybe the phone sends a signal when turning off, or something.
