Right. It just so happens 90% of goto usage is bad practice. But it's basically the same for inheritance, so...

@kbok Sometimes (not often, but sometimes) it's the best alternative available, in which case using it is good engineering practice.

I have a `getMagnitude` that does what it says for "axis" controls. However, only the sticks have a direction as well. Should I:

~Make getDirection` accept an axis and return 0 on a trigger, or
~make a stick enum
?

Can you have "higher-order gotos"? Like, store a line number in a variable x and then goto x? Or store a label in a variable x and then goto x?

@FredOverflow class hell {}; class my_life : public hell {}; Not really like goto. Where goto tells me something to do, inheritance just states facts. (Well, falsehood in this case, but one I found funny).

@JerryCoffin Except that with inheritance, method calls become complicated gotos that can change targets at runtime.

Does anyone here work with webpages? I just discovered that the top 5 browsers handle links to wave files badly, and <audio controls><audio src="a.wav" type="audio/wave"></audio> as well. No browser I tested can (A) save the wave via the link, (B) play the wave via the link, and (C) play the wave via the audio control.
